Australian Federal Police Check Translations into Spanish

Spanish Visa Translations - Police Check

Are you applying for a visa for Spain and need your documents translated?

One common document that requires translation into Spanish is an AFP Police Check.

Requirements vary from visa to visa and consulate to consulate. Things to look out for.

Name Check or Name and Fingerprint Check

People often wonder if they need a "Name Check Only" or a "Name and Fingerprint Check". This will depend on the type of visa you are applying for and where you are applying from. Check the information on the consulate website through which you will be applying.

Australian states also issue police checks, but to be safe, apply for a Federal Police Check. Tick the box "Overseas Visa - Supply to a Country Other than Australia."

Legalisation of Australian Police Check

Does your AFP National Police Check need to be legalised? Again this varies, so check the requirements of your specific visa and the consulate you are applying through. Police Checks can be apostilled directly and there is no need for them to be notarised.

Spanish Translation of Australian Police Check

Do you need to have your AFP Check translated into Spanish? Generally you do need to have the Police Check and the apostille translated into Spanish. Apostille the Police Check before sending it through for translation.

The cost for the translation of a Police Check is $50 and the cost for the translation of the Apostille is $25.
