About Me
As a Spanish–English language professional, I have dedicated my career to languages. I have worked as a translator and interpreter since 2008, following several years teaching English as a Foreign Language in Spain, England, Brazil, and Hong Kong. I enjoy helping people navigate Spanish citizenship and visa applications, as well as supporting individuals in Australia in accessing government services such as healthcare, courts, and immigration.

Professional Associations
Carina Mackenzie is a member of the Australian Institute of Interpreters and Translators (AUSIT), an organisation that stands for ethical, competent and informed practice by promoting the AUSIT Code of Ethics, organising quality professional development, endorsing research and supporting adequate remuneration and working conditions. Carina served as the Queensland Branch Chair and Delegate to National Council for four years, and is still actively involved in ensuring quality in language services as the coordinator of the AUSIT Language Divisions.
Training
Carina Mackenzie has extensive training and qualifications in translation and interpreting, including a degree in Translation and Interpreting from the University of Granada in Spain, a graduate certificate in Speech to Text interpreting from the University of Vigo in Spain, and the Diploma in Public Service Interpreting - English Law by the Chartered Institute of Linguists in the UK. Carina also holds the Cambridge Certificate of Teaching English as a Foreign Language to Adults (CTEFLA).
Carina continues to keep her skills up-to-date by attending and participating in professional development events hosted by AUSIT and other organisations.
