About Me
As a Spanish English language professional, I have spent a lifetime dedicated to languages. I taught English and studied other languages for many years until I discovered the world of translation and interpreting at the Faculty for Translation and Interpreting in Granada, Spain. I haven't looked back, and although my working languages are currently only Spanish and English, I plan to add German to that list very soon.

Professional Associations
Carina Mackenzie is a member of the Australian Institute of Interpreters and Translators (AUSIT), an organisation that stands for ethical, competent and informed practice by promoting the AUSIT Code of Ethics, organising quality professional development, endorsing research and supporting adequate remuneration and working conditions. As the current chair of the Queensland branch and Queensland delegate to the national council, Carina is actively involved in ensuring quality in language services.

Carina Mackenzie has extensive training and qualifications in translation and interpreting, including a degree in Translation and Interpreting from the University of Granada in Spain, a graduate certificate in Speech to Text interpreting from the University of Vigo in Spain, a diploma in Public Service Interpreting - English Law from the Chartered Institute of Linguists in the UK, in addition to a Cambridge Certificate of Teaching English as a Foreign Language to Adults.
Carina continues to keep her skills up-to-date by attending and participating in professional development events hosted by AUSIT and other organisations.
